Long Beach Island, NJ · The Philadelphia Suburbs · Remote Anywhere
Your personal tech department.
One trusted expert who handles everything — from your home Wi‑Fi to your business's AI — patiently, in plain English, so you never have to think about technology again.
Who calls Coastwise
Different households, different businesses — one promise: you get it off your plate, and it stays handled.
Busy households & professionals
You could figure out the Wi‑Fi dead zone, the printer, the smart doorbell, the photo backup. You'd just rather not. I set it up, fix it, and keep it running — you go back to your actual life.
It's simply handled.
Seniors & their families
Patient, unhurried, in-person help with phones, computers, TVs, and staying connected to the grandkids — plus real protection from scams. I explain things clearly and never make anyone feel silly for asking.
A favorite gift from adult children.
Local small businesses
AI tools, automation, and everyday IT — without hiring an IT department. I help offices, practices, shops, and trades put AI to work on the busywork and keep the tech out of your way.
Your fractional tech department.
What I handle
If it plugs in, connects, syncs, or thinks — it's on the list. Here's the map; if you don't see your problem, email me anyway. It still counts.
Personal Tech Concierge
White-glove help at your kitchen table — or over the phone.
- New device setup & moving everything over — phones, computers, TVs, tablets, printers
- Home Wi‑Fi that works in every room — setup, troubleshooting, dead-zone fixes
- Smart home installs — cameras, doorbells, thermostats, speakers
- Email, photos, passwords & backups — organized and safe
- Scam & security protection — account lockdown, fraud-proofing, and an "is this email fake?" hotline
- One-on-one lessons, at your pace, on your own devices
- "Tech estate" organization — logins documented so your family is never locked out
Business IT & AI
Enterprise-grade thinking, small-business scale.
- AI adoption — choosing and setting up the right tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot), writing your AI policy, training your staff
- Automation projects — quote follow-ups, appointment reminders, invoice chasing, review requests, email triage, chatbots
- Everyday IT — computers, networks, printers, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace, backups, security basics
- The Tech Caretaker Plan — one flat monthly fee to be "your IT guy": monitoring, maintenance, priority response
How it works
No ticket numbers. No hold music. No feeling silly for asking.
Tell me what's going on
Email me in whatever words you have — screenshots, forwarded emails, or just "the internet is broken." There's no wrong way to describe a tech problem. I'll translate.
I take it from there
A house call or a remote session — your choice. I fix it, set it up, or build it, and explain as much (or as little) as you'd like along the way.
You get one word back: "Handled."
Every finished job ends with that message. It means it's done, it works, and you can stop thinking about it. That's the whole point.
Clear, honest pricing
You're paying for one trusted expert who shows up, knows your setup, and takes the whole problem off your plate. No surprises — larger projects always get a written scope first.
For homes & families
House calls, remote help, and peace-of-mind plans.
Priority scheduling, unlimited quick remote help, included visits, and a family hotline. Also the perfect gift for a parent — ask about gift memberships.
For businesses
AI, automation, and everyday IT — scoped in writing, priced flat wherever possible.
Monitoring, maintenance, and priority response for your whole office — one predictable monthly number instead of per-user MSP pricing.
Classes & workshops: senior group classes from $300 per session for the hosting venue · private 1-on-1 lesson blocks (4 sessions) $395 · half-day business AI workshops from $750. Every project gets a one-page scope before work begins — changes are always quoted, never sprung.
Why "Coastwise"?
"Coastwise" is an old navigation term — it means sailing along your home coast, the waters you know best. That's the promise of this company: steady bearings, local knowledge, and someone who knows your setup, not a stranger reading from a script.
Coastwise Systems is a one-person firm, and that's on purpose. When you call, you get me — Chris — the same person who set up your network last spring and knows your printer's whole life story. I work between the Philadelphia suburbs and Long Beach Island, and remotely wherever you are.
And the "Systems"? That's a quiet nod to my father's consulting firm. Helping people make sense of technology runs in the family.
From the suburbs to the shore.
Tell me what's going on.
Write it however you like — plain English is the house language. I read every message myself and reply personally, usually the same day.
